Acne Articles > Prevent Acne on Your Back
Acne is commonly believed to affect only the face. However the truth is that it afflicts other parts of the body as well. These areas include the back and chest area.
These areas are harder to treat as they have harder skin than the face. This means therefore that they require different type of treatment products than those for the face.
The back is also in contant with materials which might aggravate the situation further e.g clothing. making back acne harder to treat.
The best way to treat acne on your back is to prevent it. However for those people that do have acne, they should follow a skin care regiment consisting of cleansers, lotions, moisturizers and products containing glycolic acid wich are good for acne. This regiment applies to both facial and back acne.
One can also try to determine the cause of acne o your back by experimenting. If one usually carries a backpack, and that area of the back is suffering from acne, then he can try other bags such as shoulder bags. If the acne clears up try wearing the backpack once again. If the acne returns one will know that backpack is the cause of the acne.
Back acne can also be caused by the type of clothing one wears. For example tight clothing results in more sweating. This in turns causes excess oil buildup leading to breakouts.Rough clothing can also aggravate existing acne areas causing new breakouts.
Treatment for back acne follows the same procedure as other acnes. First understand the type of acne that you have, your skin type and severity of the condition. Once these factors are understood, one can choose the best products to deal with the problem.
